Additional permits are necessary for vehicles to enter a member jurisdiction where they are not registered under its IRP or IFTA. Permits must also be obtained for over-dimensional and overweight vehicles not only for Arkansas but also for all member jurisdiction.
Trip Permits
Obtain a trip permit if your vehicle does not hold an IFTA license to enter Arkansas. Fill out the trip permit application to the state and receive it with the required validity period. This permit is temporary, and you must renew it once it loses its validity.
Fuel Permits
For purchasing fuels in a region where the vehicle is not registered, a temporary fuel permit must be obtained. Carriers must hold this permit before entering the member jurisdiction only then they will be allowed further legally.
Oversize and Overweight Permits
The state must approve an authorized movement if you have an over-dimensional or overweight vehicle carrying loads to member jurisdiction. If you did not get a license, then obtain a temporary permit to travel.
